Aster Dominates Perp DEX Token Market with Staggering Holder Count

Aster (ASTER) is dominating the perpetual decentralized exchange token market, according to data from CryptoRank. The token has a staggering 256,000 holders, surpassing its nearest rival by a significant margin of five times.

This ranking covers tokens whose generation events took place within the past year. RollX (ROLL), another Base-network perpetuals platform, ranks second with 50,300 holders, followed closely by GRVT (GRVT) at 30,900, and edgeX (EDGE) at 16,100.

The sector has experienced a significant shift in leadership throughout the year. However, Aster's wide distribution still puts it ahead of its competitors. In contrast to its vast holder base, Lighter (LIT), which ranks fifth with 7,300 holders, boasts a market capitalization of $1.08 billion, second only to Aster's $1.94 billion.
