Aster Launches AOS-2 With Perpetual Contracts and 1M ASTER Staking Requirement

Aster has launched AOS-2, a framework that allows projects to list perpetual contracts on its platform. To qualify for this, each applicant must stake 1 million ASTER tokens for four years before validators consider its proposal.

The fixed staking requirement of 1 million ASTER is designed to give applications a strong incentive to secure listings. This approach replaces private talks with eligibility checks, token commitments, validator votes, and on-chain records.

However, rejected proposals receive the full stake back, making the process risk-free for applicants. Successful applicants cannot exit early once they have been approved.
