Athena Bitcoin, a crypto ATM firm, has agreed to settle a case over alleged telemarketing texts for $4.5 million.

The settlement, which will be reviewed in federal court on August 10, would cover residential subscribers across the US from August 20, 2020, to August 20, 2024, excluding business numbers.

Class counsel plans to seek 33% of the fund, or $1.48 million, plus costs and expenses not expected to exceed $30,000.

If granted, nearly $3 million would remain for claimants before any representative award and administrative costs.
