A sophisticated attacker compromised the Realio web app and moved 124.4 million RIO across five chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Algorand, Stellar, and Realio's native chain.

The attack occurred on August 25, with the attacker creating new custodial sub-accounts to sweep reserves from Algorand and Stellar assets before moving funds across the five chains.

However, the thin order books forced the attackers to sell at heavy discounts, realizing only $234,000 of the $6.3 million taken.
