AUSTRAC Halts 96 Cryptolink Crypto ATMs Over Compliance Risks
Australia's financial crime regulator, AUSTRAC, has temporarily shut down Cryptolink's 96 crypto ATMs for three months due to renewed compliance failures.
The suspension follows earlier enforcement over transaction reporting and anti-money laundering controls, with the company already paying a fine and agreeing to a compliance deal in October 2025.
According to AUSTRAC CEO Brendan Thomas, 'As part of our continued focus on digital currency as a money laundering risk, AUSTRAC has ongoing concerns about the company's ability to manage high-risk transactions through its CATMs.'
