Autonomous AI Models Reignite Speculation About Crypto Price Targets
OpenAI has unveiled GPT-6 Astra, an AI system capable of performing complex tasks on computers with minimal human supervision. The model combines advanced reasoning with the ability to interact with software and complete a sequence of actions independently.
GPT-6 Astra can analyze data, build and test software, produce documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, according to OpenAI. In testing, the model completed simulated computer assignments in approximately 47% less time than GPT-5.6 Sol while achieving a higher score.
OpenAI's launch of Astra has reignited speculation that increasingly autonomous AI could accelerate the next phase of crypto development. Prominent crypto trader Ansem predicts more than 10 protocols will grow from nothing into projects worth over $1 billion within 12 to 18 months, citing improving AI models as a key factor.
Other experts, including macro analyst Jordi Visser and XRP commentator Jake Claver, believe that the growth of autonomous AI could have significant implications for cryptocurrency markets. Visser predicts Bitcoin could eventually reach between $600,000 and $1 million if AI-driven financial activity attracts more capital to crypto.
