Avalanche AVAX Surges 7% Amid Ecosystem Growth and Upgrades
Avalanche's native token AVAX has seen a notable price increase of nearly 7% over the past 24 hours, with its value briefly touching $6.92 on Tuesday before pulling back to $6.79.
This surge in value comes as several developments within the Avalanche ecosystem have added activity and potential catalysts for growth.
One such development is the rapid increase in RWA (Rightful Wallet Address) activity, with Securitize having distributed over $976 million in asset value on the network, a 123% increase over the past 30 days.
The ecosystem has also seen progress on its Helicon upgrade, which went live on the Fuji Testnet on July 28. This upgrade brings several changes to the C-Chain, including decoupled, continuous transaction execution and Auto-Renewed Staking, which allows validators to opt into automatically renewing their stake.
Avalanche continues to rank among the leading stablecoin networks, with a current stablecoin market cap of near $1.5 billion. The platform has also seen significant growth in Japan, with Progmat, Japan's largest security token platform, completing its move to the blockchain last month and bringing more than $2.7 billion worth of tokenized assets onto the network.
Market expert 'The Boss' notes that AVAX is currently trading within a long-term historical demand zone of the $6.4-$7.5 area, which makes it a potential 'inflection point rather than just another support level'. The next few days will be crucial in determining whether buyers can sustain this trend and potentially start a long-term accumulation phase.
