Avalanche Funds from Big Players Start Staking Millions
Bitwise, VanEck, and Grayscale have launched US-listed spot funds that allow investors to earn yield on their Avalanche holdings.
The three funds, trading under BAVA, VAVX, and GAVA respectively, have staked a portion of their holdings, targeting up to 70% of their assets for staking. This feature sets them apart from traditional spot crypto ETFs.
Grayscale's GAVA has approximately 81% of its AVAX staked as of late August 2026, while Bitwise's BAVA reported holdings of around 2.54 million AVAX as of June 30, 2026.
The gross annualized staking yield on Avalanche is running at around 5.4%, based on mid-2026 network metrics, with the net reward flowing back to investors and reflected in the fund's net asset value.
