Avalanche Secures $2B Grain Tokenization Deal in India

Arya.ag, India's largest integrated grains commerce platform, is tokenizing $2 billion worth of grains on the Avalanche blockchain.

This novel solution allows Indian traders to focus on an asset class within their domestic economy and provides a secure way for banks to verify crop-backed loans.

The tokenized grain can also serve as collateral for finance, making agricultural lending faster, cheaper, and easier to verify. Banks can now check whether crops have already been pledged, reducing the risk of loan defaults.

Arya.ag's project is an example of Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization gaining a foothold in India.
