Avalanche Surges Past $8 Amid Regulatory Boost
Avalanche (AVAX) is currently outperforming both Bitcoin and Ethereum after rising above $8, indicating signs of a short-term rotation into select altcoins. However, resistance at $8.20 remains a hurdle for further upside.
The token's price has increased by 2.62% to $8.06 as of the current market. The move is attributed to improving Relative Weighted Average (RWA) demand and Avalanche's ability to advance when Bitcoin and Ethereum are providing little support.
A notable development that could further boost AVAX's price is the introduction of a tokenized securities platform by Hanwha Investment & Securities, which supports Avalanche. The platform has been developed jointly with FairSquare Lab and will be particularly significant ahead of regulatory changes in South Korea that recognize distributed ledger technology as infrastructure for securities recordkeeping.
While some analysts suggest that this move does not confirm a full altseason, it represents a localized rotation from the largest cryptocurrencies into select altcoins. A decisive and sustained move above $8.20 would invalidate the bearish setup and significantly increase the likelihood of further price appreciation.
