Avalanche Surpasses 100 Million Addresses, Enters New Phase of Network Expansion
Avalanche has reached a significant milestone in its network expansion, surpassing 100 million cumulative unique addresses on September 6. According to Routescan data, the total number of addresses is now at 102,408,337.
This growth is particularly notable given that it accelerated sharply from mid-2025 onward, with tens of millions of new addresses added in a fraction of the time earlier expansion required. The C-Chain has seen significant growth as well, adding 707,000 new addresses in Q2 2026 alone.
Total value locked across the network climbed to roughly $2.1 billion, nearly double its April 2025 level. Avalanche is pairing faster address growth with a cheaper and broader network architecture for developers and enterprise users, after closing 2025 with 75 active subnets, up 158% year over year.
The token price has been relatively muted in response to this milestone, trading around $7.88 on September 7, up 9% over the week. The separation between price action and network expansion suggests that the latest market move and long-term adoption trend are related in timing but not necessarily driven by the same immediate force.
