AVAX Price Momentum Flatlines as Spot Sellers Take Control
The current momentum of AVAX is flatlining, and spot sellers are taking control. According to Terrill Dicki's analysis, the price is clinging to $7.22, fractionally below its own 7-day moving average, which is a short-term bearish signal.
The MACD histogram has compressed to an absolute zero read, indicating that buyers have barely the edge, and they're not pressing it. The RSI is hovering just under 55, and the Bollinger Band setup shows that AVAX is sitting at roughly 56% of the band range, with the upper band pinned at $8.05.
The market is essentially pricing in the 200-day SMA overhead as a real and heavy resistance zone. The Stochastic oscillator has rolled down into the lower third of its range, diverging from the RSI's mid-range reading, which historically points to near-term price softness before any meaningful recovery leg.
The volume and price alignment are also bearish for AVAX longs. The taker buy/sell ratio on the 1-hour window is sitting at 0.6482, meaning that sellers are initiating and buyers are reacting. Spot volume on Binance came in at roughly $15.2 million in the last 24 hours, which is thin by historical standards for AVAX.
