Avici Attacked: $1M Drained from User Collateral Accounts
An ongoing attack on Solana-based crypto card platform Avici has resulted in over $1 million being drained from user collateral accounts, causing the AVICI token to plummet to an all-time low.
The suspected attacker had collected 10,005 SOL, worth approximately $1.07 million at 18:58 UTC, along with about $11,600 in USDC and USDT.
According to on-chain records, the attacker repeatedly called Avici's authorization program, adding an administrator before making collateral withdrawals. The final withdrawal instruction moved 2,346.77 USDT from a user's account.
Avici acknowledged the issue but did not confirm the reported loss. The AVICI token fell 49.4% within 24 hours, touching a record low of $0.2175. Trading volume reached about $656,543 during this period.
