Avici Solana Neobank Hit by Hackers Draining Over $600K
A security breach has hit Avici, a neobank built on the Solana blockchain, resulting in user funds being drained. The hack occurred on August 28 and affected at least 125 different user accounts, with losses ranging from $9 USDC to over $26,000 USDT per account.
The total amount lost is estimated to be between $600,000 and over $1 million. Avici's native token, AVICI, dropped by about 39% in a single day following the news, with its price moving from a high of $0.4459 to a low of $0.2189.
The hackers' wallet held approximately 10,005 SOL (worth around $1.07 million at the time) and over $11,600 in stablecoins. Avici is investigating the incident and working with partners to resolve the issue.
