Aviva Tokenizes US Dollar Liquidity Fund on XRP Ledger with Ripple Partnership
Ripple has partnered with Aviva Investors to tokenize a US dollar liquidity fund on the XRP Ledger through 2026. The partnership signals growing interest in using the XRP Ledger for real-world assets and traditional finance.
The move allows Aviva to record ownership digitally, making transactions faster and more efficient, without changing its underlying assets or risk profile.
According to Digital Asset CEO Yuval Rooz, banks are already using public blockchain infrastructure, including Canton. He noted that around 50 vendors are preparing applications for Canton ahead of the DTCC's planned production launch in October.
Rooz warned that many crypto networks have valuations disconnected from actual economic activity and will eventually be judged by their utility and revenue. He pointed to Hyperliquid as an example of a network generating revenue and burning tokens, creating a model closer to a profitable public company returning value through buybacks.
