AWS Empowers AI Agents with Autonomous Payments Capability

AWS has launched Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, enabling AI agents to make autonomous payments in USDC. This new feature allows AI agents to pay for paid APIs, MCP services, and content usage fees without human intervention.

The service integrates seamlessly with existing AI workflows and supports Coinbase Wallet and Privy wallets. Users can fund agent wallets using credit cards or directly with USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin.

AWS has implemented robust security measures to minimize the risk of unauthorized access. Developer wallet credentials are stored separately from agents, and transaction signing is handled through temporary authentication tokens.
