Axelar Integrates XRP Ledger and Sidechain, Boosting Cross-Chain Interoperability
Axelar Network has announced that the XRP Ledger and XRPL EVM Sidechain are now live on its app, marking a significant milestone in cross-chain interoperability.
The integration allows users to transfer assets between connected blockchains without requiring additional bridge infrastructure. Currently, nine tokens can be transferred across networks: XRP, SHx, USDf, SOIL, WETH, WBTC, mBTC, mTBILL, and mXRP.
As Axelar is a decentralized interoperability network that connects over 80 blockchains, this integration opens up new routes for multiple assets to move across chains without friction. The XRP Ledger's capabilities have been extended into Ethereum-compatible territory through the XRPL EVM Sidechain.
