Axie Infinity Unblocks Stuck Badges and bAXS Ahead of Ronin Waypoint Rebrand

Axie Infinity's Sky Mavis has released a migration tool for badges and bAXS, two asset types that were previously stuck in Waypoint wallets. This move comes ahead of the September 16 rebranding of Ronin Waypoint to Ronin Stash. Once this change takes place, any assets left in a Waypoint wallet will be lost forever.

The migration tool is now live on the portal at wallet.roninchain.com/app/migrating. This means that users can finally move their badges and bAXS into a Stash account or a seed phrase wallet. Sky Mavis has emphasized that tokens and NFTs will not migrate automatically, so it's essential for Waypoint holders to take action.

Badges are dynamic and follow the owner of the underlying asset, but some non-transferable ERC-1155 tokens tied to the wallet that minted them have been stuck in Waypoint wallets. bAXS is also bonded to the account that earned it and stands in for AXS at a 1:1 rate across Axie Core features.
