Azerbaijan and China Boost Energy Partnership with Green Projects
Azerbaijan and China are strengthening their energy partnership through green energy projects. The two nations exchanged views on cooperation during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Lu Mei, China's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan.
The discussion centered around ongoing and planned projects, including the 100 MW solar power plant being built by Universal International Holdings Limited in Azerbaijan's Gobustan district. The project aims to utilize the country's renewable energy potential and contribute to its energy transition targets.
Additionally, China's Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) is conducting a study on Azerbaijan's electricity grid, which will play a crucial role in the future development of Azerbaijan's energy sector.
