Azio Unveils Atlas One: First Phase of Project Atlas Compute Infrastructure Campus
Azio AI Holdings has announced Atlas One as the first named development phase of Project Atlas. This project is a South Texas compute infrastructure campus that spans over 548 acres and is engineered for up to 500 MW of planned behind-the-meter power capacity.
The company has activated approximately 6 MW of compute infrastructure at the site, achieving an impressive 97.8% uptime since its deployment. This is significant because it represents a Bitcoin mining ASIC workload over a measured period, not a service level commitment for AI or high-performance computing customers.
Azio's approach to Atlas One has been sequential: securing power first, putting a real workload on it, and expanding only against demonstrated operating performance. The company secured behind-the-meter natural gas generation and supporting electrical systems at the site, activated approximately 6 MW of Bitcoin mining infrastructure as an initial operating workload, and achieved the mentioned uptime.
