BABA Stock Tumbles as Dilutive Equity Placement Weighs on Price
Alibaba's tokenized stock on Binance is struggling to stay above its lower Bollinger Band at $112.32, after a massive dilutive equity placement and an earnings miss.
The technical indicators are bearish, with the RSI approaching oversold territory but not yet cracking the 30 threshold, and the Stochastic %K deeply compressed, historically consistent with short-term exhaustion.
Despite this, Alibaba's AI infrastructure push is gaining traction, with sovereign wealth funds taking a significant portion of the equity placement allocation and analysts maintaining bullish targets, including JPMorgan and Barclays.
The company's founder, Jack Ma, has also shown confidence in the stock by buying HK$600 million ($76.5 million) worth of shares post-placement.
