BAGY Suffers Sharp Outflows as Investors Rotate Away from Covered-Call Strategy
Amidst a modest upward trend in Bitcoin prices, investors are dialing back on a specific strategy. The Amplify Bitcoin Max Income Covered Call ETF (BAGY) has seen significant outflows over the past few days. According to data, BAGY recorded net outflows of $733,218 on August 21, trimming risk exposure for income-focused crypto investors.
The latest redemption wave represents around 6.7% of BAGY's assets under management (AUM), which stands at roughly $10.998 million. This sizeable single-day pullback highlights the sensitivity of specialized crypto ETFs to shifting investor sentiment.
Despite the outflows from BAGY, short-term momentum remains constructive, with a 1-day technical signal flashing 'Buy'. However, this divergence suggests that some investors may be rotating away from covered-call overlays, preferring purer exposure or waiting for richer option premiums.
