Balancer on Brink of Shutdown After $130M Hack
Decentralized exchange Balancer is considering shutting down after suffering a devastating $130M hack last year.
The decision comes as part of a proposal by CEO Marcus Hardt, who suggests a 'phased sunset' of the protocol.
Hardt claims that despite efforts to recover from the hack, none of them have led to sustained revenue growth.
The proposed shutdown would see Balancer's $9 million treasury distributed pro-rata among BAL holders.
