Bank of Montreal Reveals Cryptocurrency Holdings
The Bank of Montreal (BMO), Canada's oldest bank founded in 1817, has revealed its holdings in cryptocurrencies. The information comes from a recent 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to the document, BMO holds exposure to various cryptocurrencies through exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including XRP, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH).
XRP is the sixth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization with a value of $62.8 billion. The Bank of Montreal's holdings in XRP are valued at $2,771 through the Rex Osprey XRP ETF.
