BankChain Alliance Aims for 2027 US Bank Blockchain Network Launch
A group of 39 U.S. state bankers associations has formed the BankChain Alliance to create an industry-owned and industry-governed blockchain network for banks.
The alliance aims to launch its network in 2027, but it still needs to select a technology partner to support the project.
The planned use cases for the network include smart payment tools, tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and automated settlement, all operating within a regulated banking framework.
