The U.S. banking lobby has expressed support for the Clarity Act, a bill aimed at codifying a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies in the United States.

Rob Nichols, CEO of the American Bankers Association, stated that the bill 'has a lot of good in it' but requires revisions to address stablecoin-related provisions.

The banking industry is concerned about the potential for stablecoins to provide returns to users, potentially drawing deposits away from traditional banks.

Nichols emphasized the possibility of coexistence between the crypto and banking industries, stating that the U.S. can be both the 'crypto capital of the world' and the 'banking capital of the world'.
