Banks and stablecoin issuers are pushing tokenized finance forward, with a focus on connecting regulated banking with tokenized assets. In Canada, the regulator has cleared tokenized deposits for the domestic banking system, while Circle is committing $400 million to improve stablecoin infrastructure for real-world payouts.

UniCredit is seeking technology to offer crypto custody and trading. This move points to institutional adoption increasingly centered on programmable settlement rather than speculative token trading alone.

Ethereum and selected altcoins are receiving more near-term attention than bitcoin, with ETH outperforming bitcoin at a price of $2,530.29. Binance reserves for ETH have fallen to a three-month low, and analysts are testing whether it can reclaim $2,500.

The broader picture remains divided, with one Grayscale assessment arguing that mining a particular altcoin has become more profitable than mining bitcoin and could reinforce demand. However, another pair of analysts warns that bitcoin's bottom is unconfirmed and the bull market has not begun.
