Banks Bet Big on XRP as Token Supply Dries Up
Major financial institutions are increasing their exposure to XRP through investment products as the token's supply on cryptocurrency exchanges continues to decline. At the same time, Ripple is expanding its payment infrastructure and preparing major upgrades to the XRP Ledger aimed at institutional users.
Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy's largest bank, has disclosed that it holds XRP in an exchange-traded fund (ETF) investment. This move comes as the token's supply on cryptocurrency exchanges reaches a multi-year low.
The decline in exchange supply and increased institutional interest in XRP suggest that the token is becoming more attractive to large financial players. However, investors should be aware that this trend may not necessarily translate into price gains for individual holders of the token.
