Barça Mobile Taps Stellar for In-App Digital Wallet Development
FC Barcelona's mobile telecom service, Barça Mobile, is working on an in-app digital wallet that will use infrastructure from Wirex, Crossmint, and the Stellar Development Foundation.
The wallet will integrate connectivity, payments, loyalty benefits, and travel services into one interface, according to New Era Visionary Group, which operates Barça Mobile. This move extends beyond the existing Global Travel eSIM offering in over 170 countries.
New Era CEO Ruslan Bîrlădeanu stated that the wallet will not be a separate product or new line of business but an integrated feature of the Barça Mobile app.
