Barcelona Blockchain Convention Highlights Institutional Shift

The European Blockchain Convention (EBC) is set to take place on September 16-17, 2026, in Barcelona. This year's event marks a significant shift towards institutional participation, with major financial institutions such as BlackRock and State Street taking center stage.

The EBC promises to bring together over 6,000 attendees and 300 speakers from the digital asset space. The lineup includes notable figures such as Nikhil Sharma from BlackRock, Tom Zschach from Swift, and Stani Kulechov from Aave.

The event is designed for networking, with an expanded exhibition area, a networking app, and closed-door peer roundtables. Additionally, there will be an LP breakfast reserved for allocators, asset managers, and family offices.
