Base Enables AWS AI Agents to Make Crypto Payments
AWS AI agents can now make cryptocurrency payments on Base, thanks to an integration involving Coinbase and Stripe. This development follows the general availability of AgentCore Payments, an AWS service designed to provide AI agents with controlled access to payment capabilities.
The integration enables AWS AI agents to settle transactions for digital services, data, content, and interactions with other autonomous agents on Base's Ethereum layer-2 network. Developers can establish spending limits and monitoring controls for these agents, reducing the risk of unrestricted transactions.
The combination of AgentCore Payments and Base could be useful for applications where AI agents need to purchase information, access specialized APIs, obtain digital content, or compensate other software agents for services.
