Base Network Unveils 24/7 Trading of Tokenized US Stocks, Including Nvidia and Apple
Coinbase's Base network has launched round-the-clock trading for tokenized U.S. equities, allowing eligible non-U.S. users to buy and sell shares of major companies like Nvidia, Meta, Apple, and Alphabet outside traditional market hours.
The tokens, called B20, are issued by Coinbase on the Base network and represent one underlying share held by a regulated custodian, ensuring a one-to-one backing.
This development marks a significant step in bridging traditional finance with decentralized platforms, providing greater flexibility and accessibility for global investors who previously faced barriers due to time zones or local market restrictions.
