Base Tokenized Stock Trading Volume Hits $100 Million Daily Mark
Base tokenized stock trading volume has reached $100 million in a single day, according to data from Token Terminal. This represents a significant milestone for Base, which has seen its daily trading volume grow exponentially over the past few weeks.
Aerodrome processed $557.1 million of this volume, accounting for 76% of the total, while Uniswap v4 handled $139.3 million. The two exchanges generated a combined $696.4 million, or more than 95% of the recorded volume.
Base founder Jesse Pollak noted that the category had grown from zero to $100 million in daily volume in just 26 days, praising Coinbase's introduction of its first Base-native stock tokens on August 24 as a key factor in this growth. The tokens are backed one-for-one by underlying shares held through Alpaca, a U.S. brokerage infrastructure provider.
Token Terminal's data measures the value of completed swaps, not the value of stocks held in custody or revenue received by either decentralized exchange. This means that every trade contributes to volume, with the same token counted repeatedly as it changes hands.
