The Blockchain Promotion Council (BCCC) has established a Taxation Committee to examine tax issues related to cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and DeFi. The committee aims to compile policy proposals for tax authorities through regular study sessions and research on international tax trends.

According to the BCCC, there is a need for practical organization related to payments, remittances, fundraising, and reward payments in addition to traditional tax discussions focused on investment and holding.

The committee will hold a kickoff event on September 15 in Tokyo, where details will be published soon on the official BCCC website. The Taxation Committee is part of the BCCC's policy proposal framework in the cryptocurrency and Web3 sectors.
