BCH Price Stuck as Bitcoin Whales Accumulate
Bitcoin Cash's price has been consolidating around $203 over the past day, down 0.44% from the previous 24 hours. This lukewarm performance is in stark contrast to the broader crypto market, where large Bitcoin holders have been accumulating significant amounts of BTC.
According to CryptoQuant, these so-called 'whales' have added roughly 43,000 BTC worth $2.75 billion over the past 60 days. This buying trend kicked in when Bitcoin traded near $60,000 and has historically preceded market bottoms.
However, this accumulation is not translating to other altcoins, including Bitcoin Cash, which has been lagging behind with a 5.5% drop over the past seven days. The BCH network recently rolled out a post-quantum verifier on Chipnet, but this hasn't yet had an impact on the price.
The immediate support level for Bitcoin Cash is at $200, and if it breaks below this, a more bearish long-range technical scenario emerges, potentially leading to a slide towards $90. On the other hand, reclaiming $210 with volume confirmation could open up a path back towards $220 to $230.
