BCH Whales Drive 10% Decline as Spot Traders Weigh in on Price Action
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) experienced a 10% decline over the past day, and an analysis of its markets revealed interesting insights into whale activity. According to CryptoQuant data, average order size in both Spot and Perpetual markets increased during this period, indicating significant participation from whales.
The positioning split between these two markets showed that while selling pressure grew in the Perpetual market, spot traders were actively buying BCH, as evidenced by a negative Netflow of -$3.45 million. This suggests that whales may have opened short positions on BCH within this period.
Looking ahead, the Liquidation Heatmap shows a high concentration of liquidation liquidity below BCH's current price, which could attract price movements during volatile periods. However, spot traders' activity will play a critical role in determining BCH's next direction, as their selling pressure could weaken the asset's structure and force it lower.
