BDACS Launches KRW1 Stablecoin Payments at Life4Cuts Photo Booths
BDACS, a South Korean digital asset custodian, has partnered with ZEKTO and LK Ventures to introduce KRW1 stablecoin payments at Life4Cuts photo booths. The pilot program aims to test the practical viability of stablecoins for micro-transactions and point-of-sale purchases.
The collaboration marks one of the first attempts to bring a regulated, won-pegged stablecoin into a mainstream consumer setting in South Korea. Life4Cuts operates hundreds of self-photo booths across the country, popular among young consumers.
BDACS has positioned KRW1 as a fully backed, transparent digital representation of the Korean won. The company has been exploring partnerships that could bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain-based payments.
