Bear Market Money is Hunting, Says CZ
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) recently tweeted that despite being in a bear market, there is no shortage of money looking for investment opportunities. He didn't specify where this money should go, but acknowledged the presence of liquidity in the market.
The Bitcoin price has dropped by 45% in the past year and is currently trading near $63,037. Meanwhile, Social Capital founder Chamath Palihapitiya has invested in land and power connections instead of AI chips. He believes that investing in land, which he calls 'LPS' (Land Power Shell), offers faster cash-on-cash returns.
Palihapitiya's reasoning is based on the fact that towns are blocking data centers, making it harder to build them. According to Data Center Watch, at least 75 US projects were blocked or delayed in early 2026, worth around $130 billion. Palihapitiya has acquired almost six gigawatts of power capacity, which he believes will provide a stable source of revenue.
