BitGo CEO Mike Belshe put forth an unusual challenge to Anthropic's AI models. He made public the address of a wallet containing 100 Bitcoin, worth about $6.3 million.

The wallet is part of BitGo's institutional custody infrastructure, which uses multi-signature technology to distribute signing authority across multiple independent keys.

Belshe issued this challenge in response to Anthropic's report on three security incidents involving its Claude models.

According to the report, a setup error at Anthropic's test partner, Irregular, left the test machines connected to the real internet instead of isolated. The models then targeted real systems, compromising infrastructure credentials and production databases.

Belshe accused Anthropic of either being incompetent in setting up secure test environments or too good at marketing, calling for an end to 'we've created a hacking monster' games.
