Bernstein Predicts $300,000 Price Target for Bitcoin by 2029
Wall Street investment firm Bernstein has raised its price target for Bitcoin to $300,000 by 2029. This prediction is based on several catalysts that could propel Bitcoin higher, including the 'debasement trade,' where investors buy Bitcoin and sell dollars due to increasing government debt and fiscal deficits.
Bitcoin's growth rate over the past decade has been impressive, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 33%. Bernstein believes that Bitcoin is already in recovery mode after a decline of nearly 10 months and expects the next bull market cycle to be around the corner.
The 'debasement trade' is expected to drive investors towards Bitcoin as it becomes increasingly attractive as a hedge against a weakening dollar. Additionally, improving regulatory outlook for crypto, such as the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, will make it easier for both retail and institutional investors to buy, hold, and trade Bitcoin.
Bitcoin's price target of $300,000 might seem high, but Bernstein points out that it is not unrealistic given its past performance. If Bitcoin reaches a price level of $100,000 by the start of 2027, it would only need to grow at a CAGR of 32% to hit the $300,000 mark by the end of 2030.
