Wall Street research firm Bernstein has updated its Bitcoin price predictions, forecasting that the cryptocurrency will reach $150,000 by mid-2027 and approximately $300,000 by the end of 2029. These figures represent the firm's base case, but in a more aggressively bullish environment, Bitcoin could potentially hit as high as $500,000 in 2029.

The core argument behind these predictions rests on two structural forces: institutional adoption and currency debasement. Bernstein notes that institutional investors are now holding onto Bitcoin during corrections, with ETF outflows remaining below 5%. This shift away from retail investors is a key factor in the firm's updated forecasts.

The analysis also points to currency debasement as a structural tailwind for Bitcoin. With governments facing escalating sovereign debt, they are more likely to tolerate inflation rather than embracing fiscal austerity, making fixed-supply assets like Bitcoin attractive to long-term portfolio holders.
