Bernstein Sees Strong Growth Potential for Circle Amid Stablecoin Competition
Research firm Bernstein reaffirmed its 'Outperform' rating for Circle after the company released its Q2 financial report, which appears to alleviate concerns about stablecoin competition and interest rate environment changes affecting reserve income.
In a recent note, Bernstein analysts stated that market fears over increased stablecoin competition and changes in the interest rate environment may be underestimating USDC's long-term growth potential and Circle's advantages in distribution channels, liquidity, and regulatory compliance.
The firm pointed out that investors may not have fully factored in Circle's future income opportunities from transaction fees, partner ecosystem, and Arc blockchain. Bernstein highlighted several recent infrastructure developments by Circle, including obtaining a national trust bank charter, expanding the Circle Payments Network, and launching its mainnet on September 16.
The analysts believe these initiatives could drive future growth, and that Circle has raised its Q2 revenue guidance, expecting to confirm around $1.8 billion in Arc token pre-sale income. Bernstein also noted that Arc's potential for staking rewards, gas fees, and ecosystem cooperation income is not fully reflected in current valuation expectations.
