US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is urging the Senate to immediately vote on the Clarity Act, a bill aimed at clarifying the regulatory framework for digital assets in the US. In a post on X, Bessent stated that over a year has passed since the House approved the Clarity Act and expressed disappointment that Democrats are still holding back.

Bessent claimed that many Democratic lawmakers have received backing worth millions of dollars from the digital-asset industry, which could be influencing their decision-making. He emphasized that passing the Clarity Act would strengthen US leadership in the crypto industry and maintain its position as a global leader in digital assets.

However, Bessent warned that if the Clarity Act does not pass, the US risks losing its leadership in the digital-asset market. In a reference to Satoshi Nakamoto's famous quote, 'If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you,' Bessent urged the Senate to take immediate action.
