Bessent Warns of 'Troubling Signal' if CLARITY Act Fails
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has called for swift passage of the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act when the Senate returns from its August recess next week.
In a Wednesday post on X, Bessent emphasized the importance of the bill, which aims to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets in the US.
He warned that failure to pass the CLARITY Act would send a 'troubling signal' about America's leadership in the digital asset industry.
The Senate is scheduled to return from its recess on Monday, according to its legislative schedule.
