Bhutan Moves $32.7M in BTC as Bitcoin Surges Above $75K
The Royal Government of Bhutan transferred 490.87 BTC to new wallets, valued at around $32.74 million at the time of the transaction.
This move comes as Bitcoin rallied above $75,000, gaining nearly 20% during the week's sharp market recovery.
Bhutan has been actively managing its cryptocurrency holdings, with a previous transfer of 300 BTC earlier in the week.
The total amount of Bitcoin held by Bhutan's government, as tracked by Arkham data, has declined from around 13,000 BTC in October 2024 to approximately 967 BTC.
