Bhutan Taps Canadian Firm for Bitcoin Reserve Management

Bhutan is taking another step towards becoming a hub for digital assets. The country has partnered with Canadian asset manager 3iQ Corp to manage its Bitcoin reserves, which are currently valued at 10,000 Bitcoins.

The Gelephu Mindfulness City project, backed by Bhutan's government, aims to create a next-generation economic hub in southern Bhutan that attracts global talent while upholding the country's cultural values and environmental principles.

3iQ will not only manage the Bitcoin reserves but also invest in local talent and establish a long-term physical presence in Gelephu. This move is seen as a strategic partnership to support the growth of digital assets in Bhutan.
