Biden Family Ties: Hunter Launches Meme Coin LAPTOP with Target on TRUMP Holders
Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, has created a meme coin called LAPTOP. The token is set to launch on September 9, 2026, on Base and will be available for trading on various decentralized exchanges.
The total supply of LAPTOP tokens is one billion, with the founders holding 30% of them. These tokens are locked for six months and will vest fully over two years. A further 20% of the tokens is reserved for airdrops, with one tranche going to wallets that lost money on TRUMP, President Donald Trump's own meme coin.
LAPTOP is named after the personal computer that has trailed Hunter Biden through American politics since 2020. The computer was handed over to a Delaware repair shop in 2019 and its contents were published by the New York Post before the presidential election that year.
The token's supply is divided into several parts, including a conditional burn tied to specific events such as a Democrat winning the 2028 presidential election or Bitcoin setting another all-time high. If these events do not occur, the tokens will be donated to charity instead.
