Biden Son Unleashes 1 Billion LAPTOP Meme Coins to Target Trump
Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, has announced plans to launch a meme coin called LAPTOP on September 9. The total supply of these tokens will be 1 billion.
The name LAPTOP originates from the 'Laptop from Hell' controversy surrounding Hunter's MacBook Pro laptop, which was left at a computer repair shop and exposed private emails and files. These files later became a focal point of political attacks.
LAPTOP is being issued on Base, a Layer 2 network under Coinbase, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Twenty percent will be airdropped to users who suffered losses on the TRUMP meme coin, as well as Hunter Biden's Substack subscribers and others.
Thirty percent of LAPTOP's tokens will be allocated for event-specific burns, such as the Democratic Party winning the 2028 presidential election or LAPTP's market capitalization surpassing that of TRUMP. As of press time, TRUMP is trading at $2.3 with a market capitalization of around $620 million, down 94% from its peak.
