Biden's Laptop Token Loses 95% Value Within Hours

Hunter Biden's new cryptocurrency token, '$LAPTOP', was launched on Wednesday morning and quickly became the laughing stock of the crypto world. Initially priced at $37.26, it skyrocketed to a high of $222.75 within minutes, but by midafternoon it plummeted to just $1.34 - a staggering 95% drop in value.

Biden had announced the token partially as a troll of President Donald Trump's '$TRUMP' memecoin, which made at least $636 million from sales. The '$LAPTOP' token was named after the laptop owned by Biden that was discovered in 2020 and fueled numerous conspiracy theories.

Biden claimed that the token was meant to make charitable donations, with 20% of its supply going to those who lost money on Trump's '$TRUMP' token. However, he dropped a lengthy post on X explaining what happened, accusing the media of inaccurate reporting.
