The Esports World Cup 2026 kicked off with BIG taking down Aurora 13-9 in the opening match, sending BIG deeper into the winner's bracket. The tournament is being held at two venues in Paris, running through August 23.

BIG's roster, led by blameF, looked cohesive despite recent changes. They took on a lineup from Aurora featuring XANTARES and woxic, who are known for their aim duels skills.

The Esports World Cup uses a GSL-style double-elimination format with 32 teams competing for a $2M prize pool. The top four from every group advance to the playoffs, making the stakes high for Aurora after losing in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
